World of Warplanes pushed back until November
Wargaming, known for its hugely popular MMORPG, World of Tanks, and the upcoming strategy, World of Warships has had to delay the launch of the aeronautical corner of its trifecta, World of Warplanes. Budding aviators are being told that they'll have to wait until November before they can earn their wings.
“We are committed to releasing a great title and are doing everything to ensure that World of Warplanes gets the final polish that we believe the game needs,”
Wargaming was hoping to release the action MMO next week, but has held the game back, in hope of tuning and perfecting a few multi-player elements before letting the game take flight.
“The extra time will allow the development team to apply some last fine-tuning to the game’s balance and make sure that every feature is top-notch before launching the project.”
It has been revealed that the beta testers will get their cumulative experience, that they've earned in the beta, shared across the lower warplane tiers in their launch edition of the game. This small launch-lead is Wargaming's way of saying thanks for everyone's support, feedback and patience during the game's beta phase.
To keep pilots entertained in the mean-time, a new update is also on the way for the beta. The update will feature new training elements, 10 free premium aircraft and a faster level-up process, in order to fully test the game to its fullest as it makes its final approach.
World of Warplanes will be ready for take-off on November 13th.
