World of Warplanes Update 1.2 unloads combat missions tomorrow
World of Warplanes Update 1.2 goes live tomorrow, and will introduce a set of challenging combat missions to keep your trigger finger happy.
You'll need to shoot down squadrons of enemy warplanes and outmaneuver opponents with your fancy flying skills to complete the listed requirements per combat mission. At stake are cool rewards that will help raise your combat stats or items to make your planes look a little bit cooler.
With the World of Warplanes Update 1.2 release, players will also get to enjoy a few visual upgrades like an overhauled post-battle screen that makes it easier to make sense of your match and rpg mission outcomes.
MMORPG designers said the new and improved post-battle screen will provide detailed combat stats, as well as built-in functionality to record and playback battles. The latter feature is great for the visual learners who want to improve their flying or dogfighting skills.
World of Warplanes Update 1.2 even plugs in a new matchmaker algorithm aka the "Sandbox" that basically makes it less punishing and traumatizing for rookies to enter match queues. Under the new algorithm, new players should be paired against foes of comparable experience level. This ensures that beginners can master basic skills and tactics without getting crushed by seasoned pilots, said the developers.
