Blizzard champions summoned to PvP summit
The MMORPG's competitive side is often kept running, silently in the background, while the more mainstream aspects of the game are worked on. Over the coming weeks, however, PvP is the talking point down at Blizzard HQ. Blizzard have some "Player Vs Player" changes on the way, and they are looking to the greats of World of Warcraft PvP, for advice on what needs to be changed in future updates.
Since the updates that came along with Mists of Pandaria, not much has changed in World of Warcraft's PvP element, and with BlizzCon just around the corner, it's looking more an more likely that big changes will be coming sooner, rather than later.
Some of Azeroth's finest have been summoned to BlizzCon HQ to battle it out, in the arena and in the board room, as the bugs are ironed out, and improvements are made.
Pro's who have been confirmed for the invitational are Hoodrych, Rzn, Venruki, Tosan, Talbadar, Sodah, Reckful, Nadagast, Kollektiv, Athlete, and Vanguards, and they will be sat alongside Blizzards top developers, including their PvP design consultant, Brian Holinka.
The dev team are holding their Hearthstone cards close to their chests, as to why they are holding the PvP summit, but it's been stipulated that the conference will be about much more than simple class balances, and will focus on all elements of the MMO's PvP content, in the hope of making the general game-play more rewarding and enjoyable.
