Tom Clancy's The Division coming in late 2013
The open world rpg Tom Clancy's The Division will likely release before the year ends.
In the first quarter investor call of developer Ubisoft, CEO Yves Guillemot confirmed that the Tom Clancy's The Division launch window will be within the end of the calendar year.
Ubisoft has been leaning heavily on releasing new open-world games -- it has put to market nine such games in the last seven years, said Guillemot -- with Tom Clancy's The Division fitting neatly into this overarching strategy.
What sets Tom Clancy's The Division apart though from the existing Ubisoft line-up is that it will be powered by the newest Ubisoft game engine, Snowdrop, and its exploration of a classless character system.
Players can take on specific roles and switch in between battles in order to complete their missions.
Tom Clancy's The Division will be releasing for the Xbox One and PS4 platforms, with options for solo, co-op and multiplayer modes that tries to cater to virtually all the gamer preferences.
