Pirates Of The Burning Sea Gameplay

Pirates Of The Burning Sea Gameplay
Overview

Pirates of the Burning Sea (PotBS) is a pirate themed mmorpg, developed by Flying Lab Software and published by Sony Online Entertainment. The action takes place in 1720, somewhere in the Caribbean where multiple forces battle for supremacy. The 4 different playable Pirates of the Burning Sea factions are: France, Spain, Great Britain and Pirates. There is also a fifth nation, the Netherlands, but is not a playable faction. No pirate game would be complete without ships. Players have a wide ship selection to choose from. Pirates of the Burning Sea has PvE missions, PvP content and player created economy.

Pirates of the Burning Sea classes are called careers. This choice will determine a player's abilities and available ships. Classes are also divided between nations (the 3 countries) and pirates. The 3 nation careers are: freetraders, navy officers and privateers. Freetraders are independent merchants but also skilled captains when it comes to fights. Navy officers are seasoned fighters. Privateers are pirates but they are loyal to their country. Their ships don't have too much fire power but they are fast and can hold some cargo. Buccaneers and Cutthroats are the pirate careers. Buccaneers have their mind set on making money. Cutthroats are classic pirates. They are great fighters and can even gain command of defeated ships. This class system is one of the nicest rpg features of Pirates of the Burning Sea. Players can create characters on both sides of the law and still be part of the pirate universe. Pirates of the Burning Sea ships also determine a player's style. There are around 55 ship models with different characteristics. Bigger ships can hold more cargo but they're not the best choice for combat. Durability is a ship's stat that decreases when the ship is defeated in combat. Pirates of the Burning Sea ships can be categorized by various criteria. Each career uses different ships. For example, navy officers cannot use cutthroats ships. Ships can also be divided by functionality: warships, merchant ships and scout ships.

One way to enjoy your Pirates of the Burning Sea adventure is to take part in PvP fights. Before going against other players, one must have an appropriate ship prepared for PvP combat. Pirates of the Burning Sea doesn't have a best PvP career. Some careers are capable of doing good damage but they lack defense. Pirates of the Burning Sea PvE challenges come in the form of instanced dungeons with story quests. Most Pirates of the Burning Sea items are created by players. Raw materials are supplied by players as well. Getting involved in the economy system and trading is a great way to earn some Pirates of the Burning Sea money. Pirates of the Burning Sea online rpg has pretty complex features and mechanics and that's what keeps players entertained.
