Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen is a fantasy online RPG developed and published by Visionary Realms Inc. Brad McQuaid, the man in charge of the game, has a vast experience in the MMORPG field. He was one of Everquest’s lead designers and he continues to collaborate with SOE for Vanguard. Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen is meant to be a spiritual successor of the two famous games. Terminus is the fantasy word where adventures take place. Several planes collided on Terminus that is now inhabited by gods, heroes, mortal beings and many fantasy races. Players adventure into Terminus as heroes that have lost their legendary powers. They must train, reacquire their skills and help Terminus and its citizens.

Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen has an impressive selection on 12 playable classes. Based on the combat style, classes can be divided in two categories: close quarters and ranged. Warrior, Crusader, Rogue and Cleric are melee classes. Ranged classes such as the Ranger or the Enchanter use physical attacks or spells to safely neutralize the enemy from a distance. Some classes like the Cleric can fulfill multiple roles. This makes Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen one of the RPG games online with a very flexible character system. The game has strategic action combat. Preparation and assessing the situation are extremely important combat aspects. There are encounters where players have to understand the fighting mechanics before making the boss pull. Spells and abilities that are mandatory in some fights might be useless for other encounters. Skills and practice are crucial as well. There is no general strategy that magically works for all Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen challenges. Fast reflexes and quick thinking are also not to be underestimated. Users can avoid attacks by blocking and dodging. Last but certainly not least, team work is another key element. Players must join forces to conquer end game content. There are quests and missions meant for solo play but most Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen activities are designed for social interaction and group play.

Exploration is another notable Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen feature. Roaming Terminus world proves to be a very rewarding activity. There are tons of secrets and adventures that wait to be discovered. Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen players find useful items and get the chance to unlock unique skills while exploring. In their journeys, players meet NPCs of different races, some like Elves or Trolls are common fantasy races seen in many other MMORPG games but Archai and Dark Myr are original creations. Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen offers players the chance to try the game for free and opt for a monthly subscription should they wish to continue their adventures.
