Neverwinter grapples with Curse of Icewind Dale on May 13
It's time to pack your fur coats and sharpest dueling blades. Neverwinter developers have announced that in less than a month on May 13, they will be releasing the mmorpg's third free content expansion called Curse of Icewind Dale.
The announcement was made on the official Neverwinter page, and included the Neverwinter Curse of Icewind Dale trailer which briefs us on the intriguing storylines and gripping conflicts for this upcoming expansion:
Adventurers who venture into Icewind Dale will discover the land embroiled in a dispute over who gets to control Black Ice, a magical resource that dwarves in the area use to create powerful weapons but are susceptible to corrupting their users. Heroes will also have to uncover a sinister plan to resurrect the corrupted mage, Akar Kessel, who had already once tried to conquer the Ten-Towns, among other foul deeds.
You'll need to explore and fight your way through two new perilous adventure zones, Dwarven Valley and Icewind Pass, to solve the mysteries of the new region. Icewind Dale also offers an exhilarating open world PvP experience for all the hot-blooded fans of the online rpg.
PvE fans won't have to be jealous with new campaigns being rolled out as well in the expansion. Other notable features include new Heroic Encounters and Mercenary Contracts.
