Next Men of War installment, Assault Squad 2, coming out Q4 2013
Men of War: Assault Squad 2 is in development and is scheduled to release this year-end quarter.
Like previous iterations, Men of War: Assault Squad 2 will let players control a tank or a soldier in the chaotic battlefields of a world war. But this time around there will be fresh single player style skirmish modes "that take players from extreme tank combat to deadly sniper stealth missions," said developers.
Commanders will also have their pick of various battle multiplayer battle modes from 1v1 to 4v4 maps. There will even be a massive 8v8 game mode designed to accommodate fans who want to square off in expansive MMO-style maps.
The new installment also shows off significant visual improvements, many of which were drawn from player feedback, which will make it stand out from previous Men of war games.
Improvements include advanced multi-core support, advanced shader technology, interface and AI improvements, as well as added camouflage depending on season and maps.
Players will get their pick between five factions, with maps spanning iconic locations in Europe, Eastern Europe, Northern Africa and the Pacific.
Fans can also look forward to upgraded sound effects, as well as better Steam integration that allows for use of Steam Cloud, Workshop, multiplayer and match-making through the platform.
