Luvinia gets revived as Luvinia World, launches open beta
Fingers crossed that the game's return under SOA Games and Shanda Games will be more successful than its first foray.
Luvinia fans will remember the mmorpg launching as Luvinia Online and how it suffered a lukewarm reception, forcing developers to shut down it servers. The game had to be taken back to the drawing boards to fix some glaring issues and un-fun features.
Now, with the new partnership between SOA Games and Shanda Games, Luvinia Online is re-launching as a new and improved Luvinia World.
The gaming public gets to see the re-worked version via the Luvinia World open beta which began today, August 20.
Developers said the re-launched Luvinia World will be better than the original because it offers "brand new expansions, bigger content, more challenging beasts to conquer, additional maps, new skills, gear expansions and other community-driven game changes."

Old Luvinia gamers who plan to give the revived online rpg another go will be able to retrieve their old user accounts and pick up right where they left off, assured developers.
The long-demanded faction change item will also be arriving in a week, allowing fans to jump ship to a rival faction instead of being stuck to the one they chose at character selection.
Developers also plan on keeping fans engaged with an aggressive plan to roll out fresh content, with the first update to be released "very shortly" after the initial game launch.
