Hearthstone officially launches on iPad
Back at the turn of April, Hearthstone began its iPad journey, launching fully in a few regions for test purposes; namely, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, and anyone who had an iTunes account for those regions.
The mmorpg inspired, competitive card game has been the center of attention over the past year, combining all of the Blizzard flagship figures from the World of Warcraft franchise into a casual, tabletop format.
Last night, Hearthstone officially launched on iPad worldwide, available on iPad Air, iPad 4th Gen, iPad 3rd Gen, iPad 2, iPad Mini and iPad mini with Retina Display.
The move to iPad means that gamers can now take their Blizzard mmo experiences everywhere they go, and better still, in a free to play environment. It marks the beginning of the handheld hearthstone port, which will see the CCG branching out; not only onto tablets, but eventually onto iOS and Android equipped phones too. Players all over have started using the hashtag #HSiPad to share all their new gaming locales, from outdoors, to classrooms, to down in their own local pub settings, matching Hearthstone's theme.
If you've been playing Hearthstone on PC, via battle.net, your card collections and custom decks should all transfer over seamlessly when you log in.
Hearthstone on iPad can be downloaded now via your iTunes App Store.
