Hearthstone Announces Curse of Naxxramas
Players at PAX East were taken by surprise when Hearthstone announced the Curse of Naxxramas, the first Adventure Mode for the free mmo. This mode is based upon the fan favorite raid found in World of Warcraft, and players can now enter the den of the powerful lich Kel'Thuzad and his plague-bearing undead. This release is a single player PvE adventure that will be released over the course of five weeks, with a new wing releasing every week.
The Curse of Naxxramas for Hearthstone features a brand new unique game board for the players, along with interactive corners. There's also nine unique class challenges to be had here, and if the player can overcome them, they'll be rewarded with new class-specific cards to add to their collection. As for the cards themselves, this release will add thirty new cards to the game, featuring plenty of shambling undead, that can be collected and used for multiplayer play. Players can also gain a new Legendary card by completing each wing of Naxxramas.
The first wing of the Curse of Naxxramas will be the Arachnid Quarter, and it will be released free to all players of the mmo. If players wish to venture into the other wings in this Hearthstone expansion, they can purchase them with in-game gold or with real currency. No release date for this expansion has been officially set at this time by Blizzard.
