Blizzard announces final Hearthstone changes prior to launch

One of the most talked about beta tests of 2013, without a doubt, was the competitive card-playing rpg spinoff, Hearthstone.

The World of Warcraft infused battler has had a great beta run, with seemingly the entire mmo community screaming out for beta keys, and racking up thousands of hours when they finally got one.

Thanks to the beta, Hearthstone has been tested and tested and tested, and has had comparatively few adjustments made as the patches have rolled along; typically a few tweaks here and there for individual cards, but the system itself has been solid, and the game has been pretty well balanced from launch.

As the beta wraps up though, the developers at Blizzard want to be sure the game is as complete as possible and running near-to-perfect when it goes live, later this year.

"This should be our last big set of balance changes; once we go live, we plan to make very few card changes, and only if they are absolutely necessary."

The announcement of the final Hearthstone beta update means 2 significant things for the fans; that we're tantalizingly close to the actual Hearthstone launch, and that, following this update, we'll be seeing the complete, finalized version of all the cards, as they will feature in the final game.

For full details on the last card buffs and nerfs, be sure to check out the Blizzard's announcement on the Hearthpwn forums.
