"A toxic seed has been sown; guarded by magic, fed with evil, it grows..."

With their haunting Halloween event, Blood and Madness only just beginning to rear its head, another chilling update is already on the way. Guild Wars 2's next update, Tower of Nightmares is set to launch on October 29th; giving you double the spooky, as the current Halloween celebration continues; with the Mad King Thorn and Prince Eldrick still at large and Tequatl's wake still resonating throughout the realm.

With 3 updates to the MMORPG in just over a month, ArenaNet are really at the top of their game in terms of providing support and updates, and are putting many other MMO dev teams to shame.

A dark and terrifying menace has cast a shadow over Tyria, in the form of the Tower of Madness, which looms over the Kessex Hills. If you haven't guessed already; it'll be your job to discover how to infiltrate it, and work out its origin.

New rewards will be made available for those who brave the darkness; so far, a universal healing skill has been revealed for all characters, and a multipurpose "Krait Obelisk Shard" which will be awarded to anyone who attains the Tower of Nightmares meta-achievement. The shard can be substituted for a skill point, or used to charge Quartz Crystals.

A preview of the new Guild Wars 2 update will be streamed live on the ArenaNet Twitch channel on Monday, October 28th, at 12pm PDT.
