Guild Wars 2 free trial program extended for a week
ArenaNet and NCsoft add a full week to the Guild Wars 2 free trial program and even throw in a limited-time sale.
All you North American and European mmo fans who passed up on the chance to take a stab at Guild Wars 2 for free -- well, you get another chance to do so. The limited trial promotion has been extended until October 4, and all it requires is for you to create a free trial account here.
Well, isn't Guild Wars 2 already free to play? It is, but only after you purchase the game box, so this is basically a great way for you to test the game before making a serious cash commitment.
For those who end up liking Guild Wars 2, the developers have even made it cheaper to officially become part of the community. Until October 7, the Guild Wars 2 Digital Heroic Edition can be bought at a discounted price of $49.99.
After the initial cash out for the game box, Guild Wars 2 players do not have to pay for any subscription fee. That saved cash can be put instead into buying mostly cosmetic and convenience items over at the Gem cash shop.
Honestly, now's a fantastic time to jump into Guild Wars 2 what with the online rpg rolling out two updates each month -- that's super fast for mmo standards -- so you won't likely get bored given that fresh content and features are being dumped faster than you can conceivably finish.
