Final Fantasy XIV Coming to PS4
Last night at Sony's E3 press conference, it was confirmed that Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn will be coming to the PlayStation 4.
Final Fantasy XIV has seen a rough road, with the PC version having had a tumultuous launch back in 2010. Things were so bad, in fact, that Square Enix dropped the monthly subscription fee as they worked tirelessly to fix the immense list of problems players were having. It was ultimately rebranded as "A Realm Reborn."
A mention in Sony's big press conference seems like a vote of confidence on Sony's part, so hopefully this fresh start is paying off for both Square Enix and the fans who have excercised no shortage of patience through the game's growing pains.
A Realm Reborn is currently in beta, with a launch on PC and PS3 slated for August 27. A specific launch date for A Realm Reborn on PS4 hasn't been mentioned yet.
Oh, and there was a brand new trailer, called "Crystal's Call," released today. Check it out!
