Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn final beta test on August 17
The Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn final beta test has been penciled in as well the game's Early Access dates.
The revamped version of Final Fantasy 14 is moving into the final pre-launch phase, and it includes holding its last beta test on August 17. One week after on August 24, players who have pre-ordered the online rpg can cash in on their Early Access privilege. That gives them a three-day headstart before the title releases officially on August 27.
In the same breath as the final beta test and Early Access date confirmations, Director-producer Naoki Yoshida also shared the bonus incentives for fans that subscribe and try out the reworked mmorpg.
These include Veteran Rewards, which will include "various bonuses" based on how long a fan subscribes to FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn. Currently, fans could choose to subscriber for 30, 60 or 90 days. Those who max out and lock in the 90 days will receive all 30-day, 60-day, and 90-day bonuses at once.
Square Enix is also looking to launch a free companion iOS App – called "FINAL FANTASY XIV: Libra Eorzea” but the content and features of which are still under wraps. The app will be ready for download a week after launch.
Lastly, developers are planning a Welcome Back campaign for the mmorpg fans who registered for the original Final Fantasy 14, allowing them to play A Realm Reborn for free until September 9, or a full month of free access in what we would think is a reasonable consolation for having dropped the ball the first time around.
