Final Fantasy 14 beta now available on PS4
6 months after the launch of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, the PlayStation 4 owners have finally got a glimpse.
The Final Fantasy: A Realm Reborn beta became available for download 2 days ago, and now, you can boot it up and see Eorzea reborn in glorious new-gen splendor. Square Enix invite players to "Experience the enhanced gameplay offered by this new platform as we continue working to improve system performance."
The beta will run from today until March 3rd and is completely free for all. There's a level cap of 20, but with just over a week to try it out, this should be sufficient to get most gamer's mouths watering over the revamped mmorpg. There'll be a second beta phase in the Spring too, running from between April 4th and April 7th. The significant difference between the 2 beta tests, (for gamers, at least) is that character data in the current beta will be deleted prior to the April beta. Character data from the April beta phase is planned to be transferable at the official release of the mmo, giving early adopters that extra little lead, as a reward for helping out pre-launch.
The official launch date for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn on PS4 has been cofirmed for this April.
