Final Fantasy 14 land prices slashed
Can't buy player housing in Final Fantasy 14 due to crazy high land prices in legacy Worlds?
Square Enix is on the case, and has announced plans to drastically reduce Final Fantasy 14 land prices for legacy Worlds until they eventually drop to reasonably affordable levels.
Currently the price of land for the legacy Worlds of Balmung, Excalibur, Hyperion, Ragnarok and Sargatanas is set at the rate of 2.5 times the price of non-legacy Worlds. That means you had to pay more than twice for the same lot of land in a non-legacy mmo server.
Prices are even more ridiculous in the legacy Worlds of Aegis, Durandal, Gungnir, Masamune and Ridill where the rate is set at 5 times the price of non-legacy Worlds.
Under Square Enix's land price adjustments scheme, these high land prices for legacy Worlds will be gradually lowered in the span of six to eight weeks until they reach the same value as non-legacy Worlds.
What does this mean ultimately for you? Lower prices means higher chances of owning your dream estate in the fantasy online rpg. "But the prices are still way out of my league!" you say.
Well, developers will conduct another land price evaluation in late January that could lead to more across-the-board price cuts. Maybe then the cost of player housing will be low enough for you to secure a prime piece of Eorzean property.
