Final Fantasy 14 confirmed for April PS4 launch
Recently, we wrote about what to expect in this week's Square-Enix Letter from the Producer Live, in particular, what to expect from the Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn content patch, which is scheduled for March.
In the 2.2 preview, titled, "Through the Maelstrom", we were introduced to the Leviathan, the Ruins of Amdapor and the future of Bahamut, and were promised news of what would be happening with the PS4 port of the mmorpg.
Square Enix, and their producer Naoki Yoshida did not disappoint, and revealed the proposed Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn launch date on the PS4.
Standard and Collector's editions of the Square-Enix mmo will be available at launch. Bonus in-game items, including a Fat Chocobo Mount, a Helm of Light, a Baby Behemoth Minion, a Coeurl Mount, a Behemoth Barding and a Wind-Up Moogle Minion are all being made available to those who splash out on the bigger, Collector's Edition box.
The launch date for Final Fanstasy 14 on PS4 has been slated for April 14th, this year, with the beta launching on February 22nd.
Concept box art for the PlayStation port was also shown off, although no early PS4 footage was revealed.
