Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Hosting Launch Event During PAX Prime
Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, the painstakingly rebuilt version of the Final Fantasy MMORPG that launched to poor reviews back in 2010, is almost here. To celebrate, Square Enix is hosting a big Final Fantasy XIV launch event during PAX Prime in Seattle, Washington this year.
The event will take place on August 30 and September 1 at the Seattle Ballroom of the Red Lion Hotel. It will kick off with opening remarks from the game’s development team, including Producer and Director Naoki Yoshida, Sound Director Masayoshi Soken, and Localization Lead Michael-Christopher Koji Fox. After that, there will be autograph signings, hands-on time with the game, and competitions for prizes and swag.
The fun starts on Saturday, August 30 at 3:30 PM with developer remarks at 4, and Sunday, September 1 at 11:30 AM with developer remarks at noon.
For attendees of PAX Prime proper, the Square Enix booth will include playable builds of Final Fantasy X/X-2 Remaster, Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix, Deux Ex: Human Revolution - Director's Cut, and Bloodmasque. There will also be theater presentations and photo booths for Thief and Murdered: Soul Suspect.
If you're in the Seattle area at the end of this month, it sounds like you'll have a ton of Final Fantasy and Square Enix-related things to do.
