EverQuest Next is accepting beta applications
The wait is almost over! Fans of this long-lasting series of SOE's flagship MMO's are one step closer to the next installment, as EverQuest Next's beta applications open. Not only can you apply for Everquest Next, but there are separate applications for their ground breaking experiment, EverQuest Next Landmark.
EverQuest's Landmark will run parallel to EverQuest Next, but can be played completely separately, and without playing the main MMORPG. Landmark is Sony Online Entertainments brand-new sandbox project, where you can build, craft and design your own maps and buildings, and share them with the EQ community. If your designs are particularly good, you can get the chance to transcend the game, and make your designs into a permanent feature in the main game, EverQuest Next.
EverQuest Next itself is looking really promising too. Not only is it visually superior' it's also breaking the EverQuest mold; introducing multi-classing, round table community development, a whole new combat system and of course, integrating with a sandbox design system. EverQuest Next is truly looking to be a new generation of MMO.
No announcements have been made yet, as to how much access the beta will grant you, or even when it will become available, but if you're interested in signing up, be sure to check out EverQuest Next's homepage. Set up a Station Account and register for the beta now, before it's too late!
