Elemental: Fallen Enchantress stand-alone expansion, "Legendary Heroes", out now
The newly released Legendary Heroes is meant to be an upgrade pack for Elemental: Fallen Enchantress or a polished introductory game to Elemental series virgins.
Everyone will remember the rocky release of Elemental: Fallen Enchantress back in 2011 as critics panned its flawed mechanics and execution. Legendary Heroes now seeks to address those criticisms, with the upgrade pack delivering improvements, reworks and enhancements on “nearly every aspect of Fallen Enchantress,” said developer Stardock.
Stardock said it took its sweet time to get everything right for fans who have bought Elemental: Fallen Enchantress and newbies who will be purchasing Legendary Heroes as a stand-alone game.
Existing players of Elemental: Fallen Enchantress can purchase Legendary Heroes for $19.99, while totally new players will have to buy Legendary Heroes for $39.99, via Steam and other digital distribution platforms.
The expansion focused on perfecting the well-received features of the strategy rpg title such as the sovereign creation system, empire building mechanics and role-playing elements.
Meanwhile, the champion system was revamped to eliminate the luck factor that often determined whether a player would win or not. Now champions will be unlocked through the fame earned by your civilization after performing impressive feats. Unit stats were also rebalanced. Developers also removed most of the convoluted elements that would stump and frustrate even the most experienced strategy, mmorpg or console gamers.
