Dragon’s Prophet, the upcoming fantasy mmorpg from Runewaker Entertainment, has finally dipped its toes into the beta tesing.

Runewaker did not divulge how many people will be included in the family and friends beta or how these were chosen, only that the beta participants will be “limited” and that quite a number of features and even a full-functioning region will be available for play.

Dragon’s Prophet has previously teased about its extensive dragon-centric features, action-based combat and cross-server Frontier PvP system, and it seems quite a few of these will begin to be tested.

“We are extremely happy to already provide a limited number of selected participants with access to the game,” said a release from Runewaker, the developer behind one of the iconic rpg games online, Runes of Magic.

“They will be the first to discover the world of Auratia, its extensive features, content and legendary dragons. We will use this early beta stage to put the first region of Dragon’s Prophet to the test, and to refine it… with a keen eye towards western tastes.”

Runewaker said the closed beta, which will presumably begin after the family and friends beta, will begin “very soon.” The developer said fans should keep an eye out on their Facebook and Twitter pages for announcements, including a chance to join future beta tests.
