Digimon Masters Online deploys second half of File Island on June 2
Digimon Masters Online is opening up the rest of File Island in part two of arguably its most popular update in recent memory.
Developer Joymax said that File Island part 2 will be released on June 2 and is set to last until July 4.
It will feature new areas such as File Island Waterfront, the Lost Historic Site and Infinite Mountain. That last one promises to be the pinnacle test for MMO players, as it will be host the Boss Mob Devimon. Series fans will remember Devimon as an evil, mind-controlling digimon that spreads malevolence whenever he appears in any of the Digimon titles.
The quick release of File Island part 2 can be owed to the surprising popularity of the first installment, which Joymax said helped the Digimon Masters Online Facebook page reach more than 300,000 Facebook likes, tripling the number that the monster training online rpg has accumulated since last year.
File Island part 1 was launched on April 9 and ran through until May 7. Like part 2, it also ushered new sections on File Island and debuted the fan favorite Gabumon (Black), a cash shop digimon famed for its powerful abilities and Kabuki-inspired visual design.
