Digimon Masters Online Adds New Tamer

Digimon Masters Online, Joymax's MMO set in the beloved Digimon Universe, has added a brand new trainer named Mimi, who should be familiar to anyone who has played Digimon Adventure 2.

An official press release describes a bit about her personality: "Mimi is a young lady to be liked by people who are basically good, but there is something a little selfish and irresponsible about her, probably because she was brought up on easy street in a wealthy family. However, she has a lovable and innocent charm that keeps people caring about her."

She can be earned in the game in an event that runs from July 2 to July 30, a prize for Rankers on each server.

For those who haven't yet stepped into this world, here's a description pulled straight from the press release: "The game seamlessly combines pet training simulation with role-playing elements to deliver a one of a kind gaming experience. Featuring real-time combat, Gamers will be thrilled with the challenges brought forth by real-time combat which requires quick thinking and good reflexes. Players can also become one of 8 Royal Knights. Royal Knights are Digimon who are in charge of each area in the Digital World. Leaders of a guild that conquers one of these areas can become a Royal Knight who has the right to impose taxes along with other perks and obligations."

Digimon Masters Online features over 1,000 characters from the first five seasons of the TV series, and is completely free-to-play.
