Deadbreed Gameplay First Look - HD

Deadbreed Gameplay First Look - HD
Overview

Deadbreed is an action online RPG with MOBA mechanics developed and published by Deadbreed, a Swedish gaming company. It’s a newly formed studio but the founding members and the development crew have tons of experience in the gaming industry. Some of the Deadbreed developers have worked on Just Cause, famous open world action title. Long time RPG fan and MOBA enthusiast, Stefan Ljungqvist (one of the developers) decided to make Deadbreed after realizing there isn’t an action MOBA with in depth role playing character customization. Players want to create characters with unique play styles but also original looks so cosmetic options are on the features list too.

Team battles are the core gameplay feature. There are no single player campaigns or solo mode scenarios. Players group up in teams of maximum 3 members and fight in 3 vs. 3 matches. It’s possible to fight against a computer controlled team but the best Deadbreed experience comes from PvP encounters. Hero customization and progression are 2 RPG features that deserve a closer look. First of all, there are multiple hero classes to choose from. There are nightbreed and daybreed heroes but also a mix called halfbreed. Archer, warrior and wizard are the main Deadbreed class archetypes. All heroes have unique spells and play style that can be further customized by equipping different items. There are items that boost offensive abilities and damage and also items to enhance hero defense. Armor is worn on head, chest, legs and arms. Heroes wield class specific weapons such as bows, swords and maces. Deadbreed has a very rich weapon selection. There are items that increase movement speed and consumables to provide short term boosts. Deadbreed allows players to craft and use powerful items known as artifacts that can be upgraded with relic slots. Artifacts lose durability when playing matches.

Hero experience is won by playing Deadbreed matches. Heroes level up after they accumulated enough experience, each level unlock additional perks like crafting features or wearable items. Deadbreed is a free MMO with original match mechanics. At the end of each match, players have to fight a boss chosen by the Sentinels, an NPC Deadbreed faction. Players earn reputation with the Sentinels and gain their favors to receive all sorts of bonuses. Matches are normally fought between 2 teams of 3 players but there are some features to make things interesting. Players are able to summon creatures to fight by their side. Battlegrounds have dungeons and a PvP quest system. Deadbreed has a dark fantasy visual style and gloomy atmosphere.
