Return to the glory days of turn-based strategy games with Battle Worlds: Kronos, the mmo developed by KING Art Games. Players battle it out for control of the world of Kronos as the leader of a faction in this sci-fi themed strategy mmo. Gamers can now focus on far-reaching strategies as they plot their moves turn-by-turn.
Harkening back to the classic days of turn-based strategy mmo games such as Panzer General and Battle Isle, Battle Worlds: Kronos seeks to bring that tried-and-true gameplay to the gamers of today with the most advanced graphics and AI possible. Set upon the war-torn world of Kronos, players take the helm of two rival factions, each bent upon domination. On one side are the Yeria, the dominant entity that employs a highly technological army. Opposed to the Yeria are the Rebels, who are forced to fight a guerilla war with more low-tech units and weaponry. Overall, there are around forty different units, which are upgradable, for the player to choose from and use in their army.
There are multiple modes of gameplay found in Battle Worlds: Kronos. Players can engage in two different single-player campaigns, with a campaign for each faction. Both campaigns combined add up to more than thirty hours of gameplay. To keep players sharp, there are also single player challenge maps where gamers can try out different combat scenarios and tactics. Players do not have to worry about easy conquests as the game features a very strong AI to force them to use their best tactics and strategies to win.
If the computer isn't enough challenge for you, then there's always multiplayer gameplay. How you play against other players in Battle Worlds: Kronos is up to you as you can either play against other players in live multiplayer or engage in asynchronous multiplayer. You can play multiplayer within your favorite internet browser and can fight against them using different platforms, such as PC, Mac, and Linux. Asynchronous multiplayer allows you to take all the time you need to plot out your moves. When you're done with your turn, the game is stored on the game's server and your opponent is notified and allowed to take their turn. These epic battles can take days or even weeks to finish as you play when and where you wish.
Armchair generals will get their fill with Battle Worlds: Kronos. With the two single-player campaigns and multiplayer, there is also a map editor that allows players to create their own maps and missions. KING Art Games isn't playing games as there is no DRM, no DLC that holds back key features, and isn't a free-to-play scam. Once you buy the game, you'll get the entire package, giving you endless hours of turn-based combat glory.
