World of Tanks Launches Update 8.7

World of Tanks, the tank-fighting MMO from Wargaming, is insatiable when it comes to adding new features and tweaks to the game. If you don't log in for a couple months, you'll generally come back to find some new units or new maps or new something that wasn't there thr last time you hopped into the game.

And that's a practice we don't see ending any time soon, as Wargaming has just launched World of Tanks Update 8.7 in Europe. Players in North America will see the update go live on July 29, and those in Korea or Southeast Asia will be able to get 8.7 "at the end of July."

So what's new in this update? Well, according to the official press release, "Update 8.7 introduces a brand new branch of British self-propelled guns, including the iconic Sexton, Bishop and the Crusader, just to name a few. A number of post-World War II prototypes take their place in the middle tiers, while the intimidating Conqueror Gun Carriage becomes the Tier 10 arty."

And that's not all. There's a "a brand new winter map, Severogorsk, as well as visual revamps of the Highway and Harbour maps." Also, the Soviet T-50-2, a light tank, has been replaced by the Tier 6 MT-25, "with better agility and more horse power as main advantages."
