Chains of Harrow Update Brings Improved Visuals to Warframe

Warframe Chains of Harrow update launches

It's always a good thing when an update for an online game also includes enhancements to older features. The Warframe Chains of Harrow update that launches today not only introduces the new dark priest-themed Harrow warframe to the mmo fps, but it also comes with new visuals for Earth. Now players can marvel at the improved graphics as they blow their enemies away.

The Warframe Chains of Harrow update features a new quest for those who have completed The War Within and unlocked Mot in the Void. The description of the Chains of Harrow quest reads, "A disturbing transmission from Red Veil's spiritual medium leads to an abandoned Steel Meridian vessel adrift on the outskirts of Earth. Inside, strange whispers echo throughout the lifeless vessel. Emergency lights strobe to reveal the horrors of what happened inside. What force unleashed this evil and how can it be stopped?"

Of course, the main interest that mmofps players will have with the Warframe Chains of Harrow update is the new warframe. The abilities of this new warframe are:

Condemn: Cast a wave of energy that chains them where they stand. Each enemy held reinforces Harrow’s shields.

Penance: Sacrifice shields to boost reload, and fire rate while converting damage inflicted on enemies into health for Harrow and nearby allies.

Thurible: Channel Harrow’s energy into the Thurible to generate a buff. Once finished, kill enemies to bestow nearby allies with bursts of energy. The more energy channeled the greater the reward for each kill. Headshots produce extra energy.

Covenant: Protect nearby allies with an energy force that absorbs all damage and converts it to a Critical Chance bonus for all those under the Covenant. Headshots are amplified even further.

Lastly, the Warframe Chains of Harrow update adds the Knell (a scoped pistol), the Nox (members of the Elite Chem Strike Unit that shoot toxic goo), and Riven Mods for melee weapons.
