War Thunder calls in some serious air support in update 1.39

Aerial mmo, War Thunder is still in its beta phase, so when an update lands; player stats and leaderboards unfortunately reset. It's not all doom and gloom though, and the developers over at Gaijin Entertainment have appeased fans, by flying in a whopping supply of new aircraft, to offset the resets, in the War Thunder update.

The skies will be full of peculiar new silhouettes as a staggering 20 aircraft make their way to the mmofps:

1. Great Britain

-Spitfire F Mk 24 (flight model not finished yet);

-Spitfire F Mk.22 (flight model not finished yet);

-Mosquito Mk.XVII;

-Avenger Mk.I



-I-16 type 24;

-I-16 type 27;

-La-174 (special, available for a limited time);

-Spitfire Mk. IX (special, premium, available for a limited time)

3. USA

-Lockheed F-80A Shooting Star;

-North American F-82 Twin Mustang Republic F-84 Thunderjet;


4. Germany


-MiG-15bis of GDR;

-Canadair CL-13A Sabre Mk.5 of Luftwaffe;

-Me.262C-1a Do.217N-2;

5. Japan

-F-86 F-30 of the Japanese Self-Defence forces;

-A6M2 mod.11

War Thunder Avenger

In addition to all of the new toys; there's an overhauled progression mode, caliber-specific fire controls, an improved AI system and a new, Squadron battle feature in Events mode.

Extra support has been provided for user created content too, meaning your custom planes, terrains, missions and skins should be readily available and bug-free.
