Players can choose a British, North American, Japanese, Russian or German aircraft. Based on their functionality War Thunder planes can be: fighters, ground attack, heavy fighters, bombers, torpedo bombers, dive bombers, heavy bombers, flying boats and floatplanes. Years of fabrication range from 1927 to 1948.
Grouping up with other War Thunder players allows different battle formations like bomber or fighter formation. WarThunder has different types of camera views. A third person option offers a wide overview. The cockpit view allows players to step into the shoes of real pilots. Gunner view is also available. Bombsight view is for targeting enemies. A hit plane will take damage depending on the part that was hit. The engine and the cockpit are a plane’s weakest spots. Wings, fuselage and tail units can also be damaged. War Thunder action takes place on different war fronts. Each front has its own battles. For example, while playing on the Western front players take part in the battle for Britain, Berlin, Bulge or Norway and Denmark. Other War Thunder maps are Korea, Pacific, Mediterranean, Russian and Asian fronts. War Thunder MMOFPS has a system that keeps track of achievements, ranking, experience and performance. Cosmetic customization options are also on War Thunder features list. More War Thunder content updates and additions are yet to follow.
