Defiance's Castithan Charge Pack Finally Gets Dated
Trion has been teasing fans with hints that Defiance, the mega-popular sci-fi MMORPG, was eventually going to get some add-on content. Then, at E3 this year, we actually got our hands on it. Well, today, Trion has finally announced a launch date for their highly anticipated Castithan Charge Pack.
One of the coolest features is that players will finally get to create characters of the Castithan race. With that comes a whole new arsenal of weaponry, the Charge Weapons. Our personal favorite from our E3 play session was the Charge Sword, which is basically Defiance's version of a lightsaber. It sounds like it will be unlocked for players who participate in the new battle arena mode that the official press release compares to Gears of War's Horde Mode.
The press release also reminded us about some of the other stuff we saw at E3, like the new four-person version of the Raptor truck and the Monolith Major Arkfall that includes a new boss battle. Oh, and there will be Sieges, which have players capture and hold strategic points on a battlefield.
The content will go live on August 20 for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360, and will cost $9.99 or 800 Microsoft Points. Of course, those who bought a season pass won't be charged for the content.
And for those Achievement hunters out there, the console version of the Castithan Charge Pack has some new Acheivements/Trophies.
