Zombies Ate My Pizza chomps into closed beta
There's a new action shooter MMO in town, and this one has aliens, a zombie plague and a post-apocalyptic world where "cheddar" is the main currency (owing to a fascinating global addiction to pizzas).
Meet Zombies Ate My Pizza, the wacky new top-down action shooter from publisher Reality Squared Games.
Based on the initial artwork above and the Zombies Ate My Pizza closed beta test announcement we got, the browser mmo will have a futuristic anime-inspired character design and art themes. It's also got frantic gameplay and a sense of humor.
"Taking inspiration from anime in its character design, the game offers intense action and fierce events while delivering comic relief with its quirky dialogue and singular storyline," said the publisher.
Players will be able to choose from two unique character classes before diving into mission-based combat. Players will need to collect supplies, clear invaded areas and fight boss battles.
Key features include daily missions, basic training in 3v3 battle mode, a Superpower system and player-run Militias, the publisher revealed.
The Zombies Ate My Pizza closed beta test, which has just begun, will last for a little more than a week until Wednesday, March 19th at 22:00 EDT (19:00 PDT).
During the closed beta test, there will also giveaways for cheddar -- the premium currency for the game. Don't get too invested though with your pizza-loving, alien-busting characters since all character and account data will be deleted after the closed beta.
