Overview

Conquer a war-ravaged world in Warfare, the free strategy browser mmo developed by NGames. Featuring a blend of rpg, strategy, and simulation games. Players choose a faction, build their own island nation, and seek to dominate. Set in the near future after a Third World War, the planet has been devastated by massive earthquakes and tsunamis, caused by nuclear weapons, that created a large vortex in the heart of the world, which tore the continents into countless tiny islands. Now the survivors are picking up the pieces and the fighting continues as each faction seeks to dominate the others.

The factions of Warfare are the four remaining superpowers (America, Germany, China, and Russia) as well smaller independent groups (Fifth Independence Alliance and the Unknown). Each faction has their own goals but one force, the Dark Alliance, is a threat to them all. Unlike other strategy browser games, this game has the players choose how their army is specialized. There are three types of specialization: air, land, and sea. In addition, each army is composed of four types of soldiers (heavy, ranged, assault, and assist) and three types of units (vanguard, center guard, and rear guard). This mixture of units is deployed in a 3x3 formation on the battlefield and gives the players an endless amount of flexibility for creating strategy.

Your armies in Warfare don't march off alone as players can recruit generals to lead them. This strategy mmo features famous historical and fictional characters as generals, such as Eisenhower, Napoleon, Margaret Thatcher, James Bond, and Saddam Hussein. Players can have up to four generals in all. To create and sustain their army, players will need to build up their island nation through city-building. There are various types of buildings in this game, each with their own specialty. As is usual in strategy games, these buildings can be upgraded to provide additional benefits. The player's command center is the hub of their mini-empire and determines how far the other buildings can be upgraded. Each of the three types of forces (air, sea, and land) each have their own center that impacts that specific military specialty. Other buildings such as barracks, science & tech center, and drilling platform are used for resource gathering, improving your force's power, and recruiting new troops and mercenaries.

The world of Warfare is one of constant conflict. Players can battle the terrorist forces of the Dark Alliance or other players. Gamers can also challenge other generals or battle against dungeon bosses. Can you keep the world from burning?
