Loark Gameplay

Loark Gameplay
Overview

Loark is a new free no download mmorpg, developed and published by ClapAlong. Action takes place in a world called Turmberg. Several tribes live in Turmberg. Every tribe has its distinctive traits. A certain tribe is surrounded in mystery. Loark characters follow the classic rpg features. Each class has stats: health, attack, defense, critical rating and anti crit. Characters have slots to equip armor, weapons and accessories like rings or necklaces. Unlike in most rpg games, leveling up doesn't happen automatically in Loark. When they have enough experience, players need to hit the “Lv Up” button to gain a level.

At the moment, there are only 2 playable classes in Loark. Giants are a technology oriented class. They operate powerful robots. Shamans are a magic class. They draw their strength from the elements. Each Loark class has specific skills. They are unlocked as the character levels up. At first, each class starts with only 2 skills. Giants start with Blood Bath and Sweep. Shamans start with Call of Ghoul and Blaze Spurt. After level 15 is attained, skills can be upgraded. There are 2 options to upgrade a skill. Training a skill will take a period of time. Skills can be instantly upgraded at the cost of amber or character experience. New skills can be learned when the character gains the appropriate level. A trainer NPC will task players with a quest. When the quest is completed and delivered the reward is a new skill. Ordinary quests can be completed only once. Daily quests can be done once a day. The war system is Loark approach to PvP. A zone is declared battlefield for 55 minutes. Players of the opposing factions fight against each other. For now there are only 2 factions available. Loark has a distinctive trait among other mmorpg games. The morale system can be used to increase stats on equipment. Players gain morale when killing mobs. Death is not permanent in Loark. There is an instant resurrection option that resurrects the player on the spot. The second option is to get resurrected in a safe zone.

Loark players can chat between themselves. There are separate commands for private chat, party chat or guild chat. A nice feature of Loark browser mmo is the fast paced combat. Dungeons may feel like a kill fest with lots of drops. Players can adventure into dungeons with a group of friends. Teams can have 5 players. Loark is free to play. Players can choose to pay a subscription to gain several advantages. There are a few premium plans available for Loark.
