GodsRule is a browser MMORTS developed by Gogoric and published by SEGA. Gameplay is mainly about building an empire and an army to challenge other GodsRule players. A small GodsRule kingdom needs resources to develop into a powerful empire. Players must fight to gain control over resource areas. GodsRule has 2 playable factions: Keepers of the Ancient and Souls of Ascension. All players are required to pick a side right from the start. GodsRule tells the story of a great conflict between the new gods and the old gods. New gods are worshiped by elves, giants and demons. Human races stayed true to the old gods. Gods war spread into mortal world. Every race is fighting for their gods hoping that once the war is over they will be on the winner side.
A very important GodsRule gameplay component is combat. To enter combat an army is needed. GodsRule armies are made up of units and players can also use spells. Players use the load ship menu option to choose units. GodsRule world is divided into 8 areas where battles take place. There is an option to join existing battles or to create a new one. The goal of a GodsRule MMO match is to capture the relic. This relic is placed in the middle of the map. Players are placed in opposite corners at the start of the battle. There is the same distance between them and the relic so everyone starts with equal chances. Various monsters are also placed on the map. A player can perform several actions. He can moves units, order them to attack or to loot items. All GodsRule units have a few stats. HP is the total amount of health. Damage is the amount of HP a unit takes from an enemy when performing an offensive ability. Speed measures a unit’s speed on the map. Capture rate is an attribute that shows a unit’s capturing efficiency. Range is how far a unit can hit. All GodsRule units have a different special ability.
All successful actions reward GodsRule players with XP. The best way to earn XP is to win matches. Titles and ranks become available for players as they level up. Not all GodsRule battles are against human opponents. GodsRule has PvE content. There are 4 PvE battle modes: ruins, fighting creatures, objective and training. GodsRule is one of the free RTS games that can also be played on iPads. Players can interact and play GodsRule together from multiple platforms.
