Overview

Dawn of the Dragons is a fantasy MMO game developed by 5thPlanet Games and published by Kongregate. Citizens of West Kruna, the game world, were always the target of dragon attacks. With the help of powerful demi gods, dragons have been kept at a safe distance but never truly defeated. Now they seek to invade and conquer West Kruna once and for all and it’s up to players to take arms and be the dragon slayer heroes that West Kruna desperately needs. Players begin Dawn of the Dragons as simple peasants working the field with nothing more than a pitchfork in their hands.

Dawn of the Dragons has a few basic character cosmetic customization options, players can select a male or female avatar, hair style and skin color. The class (Battlemaster, Wanderer or Adventurer) choice becomes available after completing a short game introduction that familiarizes players with basic Dawn of the Dragons mechanics. Stamina and energy are resources spent to take part in game activities such as questing or raiding. Battlemasters have high stamina regeneration. Wanderers have the best energy recovery rate. Adventurers regenerate both stamina and energy at the same rate. Dawn of the Dragons is a free no download MMORPG that lets players build a custom character by choosing which stats to improve. When characters gather enough XP from fights, quests or raids they level up and receive 5 points that can be distributed in any of the following stats: HP, attack, defense, perception, stamina and energy. Equipment such as armors, accessories and weapons are also used to boost stats. Dawn of the Dragons crafting system allows players to create and upgrade various items. The in game Bazaar has a rich selection of armors, weapons, potions, consumable items (scroll, runes) and mounts.

Quests are a good way to earn XP and also to find out more about Dawn of the Dragons story, each quest consumes energy. Raids have a higher difficulty but the loot is better. Dawn of the Dragons has a convenient feature that allows players to notify other players whenever a raid is started, this way players can quickly team up for raid bosses. As soon as the main character reaches level 11 PvP content becomes available. Dawn of the Dragons has some RTS games features. Players own a citadel where they can construct and upgrade different types of buildings. Troops to form an army are recruited from the citadel barracks or bought from the Bazaar. Dawn of the Dragons is a nice casual game for players that want to mix RPG with strategy features.
