Overview

Darkness Springs is one of the free browser games developed and published by Ambiera. Darkness Springs is a single player fantasy game with RPG features. Players only need a web browser and an internet connection to play Darkness Springs. It works on all operating systems. Darkness Springs doesn’t even require a user account. Players can just go on Darkness Springs website, hit the Play button and that’s all. Character progress is stored on your local machine, not on a web server.

There are lots of Darkness Springs game features but one of the most popular is the non linear quest system and gameplay. The game world is called Enthpia. It used to be a wonderful world but a sudden darkness took over. Players have to investigate and find a way to save Enthpia. There are no initial Darkness Springs class choices. Players only input character’s name and select a male or female character model. Even if Darkness Springs is a single player game and not a MMORPG it still has character customization. All Darkness Springs characters have 4 attributes and multiple skills. The 4 main attributes are: HP, magical power, strength and intelligence. Skills are related to weapon and armor usage. Players gain XP when killing mobs and completing quests. All skills and attributes are enhanced when Darkness Springs characters level up. There are lots of Darkness Springs zones to explore (more than 100). Each area has plenty of mobs to kill for loot. In battles, Darkness Springs players use weapons and spells. In their inventory players have equipment slots for gear and item slots.

Players don’t have to complete Darkness Springs quests in a certain order. Darkness Springs has an open world map setup. Exploring the entire Darkness Springs world is not easy as there are hidden areas. The quests are divided into 3 main story lines (called chapters). Each completed quest brings players closer to their final goal. Darkness Springs has a player housing feature. Because Darkness Springs stores all character info and progress on local computers, players have to save their game and character before exiting the game. Darkness Springs has save and load options just like offline single player RPGs. Players are allowed to own multiple characters. Darkness Springs is one of those games for players that wish to take a break from the MMO crowd and freemium games. It doesn’t have premium options. All Darkness Springs players get exactly the same amount of content, access all features and everything Darkness Springs has to offer for free.
